You already know that the alpha often lives outside the filing. That management tone in an earnings call. The governance shift buried in proxy materials. The strategic pivot announced in a press release hours before the 8-K hits.

That's why we’re excited to announce the launch of our Corporate Communications Data Package - a resource that brings you every public disclosure, announcement, and communication from over 31,000 companies worldwide, all in one place.

What's inside

We've built this package around a simple principle: if a company said it publicly, you should be able to find it, analyze it, and act on it. The archive includes over 1.2 million documents covering 22,000 public companies and 9,000 private companies across 166 stock exchanges in 132 countries. Coverage starts from November 2024 and updates arrive within one minute of publication.

The package includes everything from earnings releases and annual reports to proxy statements, ESG disclosures, M&A announcements, regulatory filings, audit reports, shareholder letters, and conference call transcripts. If it's material information that a company has disclosed publicly, it's here.

Let's see it in action

Let’s see a concrete example. Say you're a hedge fund analyst tracking capital structure changes in Japan. You could ask:

"Summarize capital structure changes announced by listed companies in Japan over the past month."

You'd get a complete picture of share buybacks, debt issuances, capital raises, and restructuring announcements, all from official company disclosures.

We've made the package available via the Bigdata.com web application and APIs, so you can integrate it into your existing workflows however works best for your team.

Who benefits and how

One of the things I value most about this package is how different teams are already putting it to work:

Hedge funds are using sub-minute updates to catch market-moving announcements—dividend changes, restructurings, capital raises, before they're fully priced in, giving them an edge in event-driven strategies.

Asset managers are tracking net asset value reports and fund distributions in real-time, making allocation decisions with the most current performance data available.

Private equity firms are analyzing disclosures from private companies to evaluate competitors, spot acquisition targets, and understand market dynamics beyond public filings.

Equity research analysts are building financial models with annual reports, earnings releases, and management outlooks, getting a complete picture of company performance and guidance.

Investment bankers are monitoring M&A documents and restructuring announcements to track deal flow and identify advisory opportunities early.

Compliance officers are staying ahead of regulatory changes by monitoring filings, audits, and closed-period notifications across their portfolio companies.

Corporate strategy teams are benchmarking against competitors and tracking industry trends, using real disclosures to inform strategic planning rather than relying on third-party summaries.

Proxy advisors are analyzing governance reports and executive compensation disclosures to make informed voting recommendations.
