Introducing Bigdata.com MCPs for Agentic Intelligence
August 2025•By Oscar Sanchez Iglesias, Senior Product Manager, Bigdata API
Connect your agentic platform to query transcripts, filings, premium news, documentation, or code examples in seconds.
At Bigdata.com, we’ve always believed in empowering developers to do more with less friction. Today, we’re thrilled to introduce two Remote MCP tools (Model Context Protocol) - a breakthrough that makes it simpler than ever for agentic Large Language Models (LLMs) like Claude Desktop and Cursor to tap into real-time data and services.
Why does it matter?
Traditionally, LLMs struggled with hallucinations and outdated knowledge when answering specialized financial questions. Analysts often had to manually verify results, wasting valuable time and risking errors.
By connecting your agentic platform directly to Bigdata.com’s premium financial services through Remote MCPs, the LLM grounds every answer in authoritative, real-time sources. This ensures that responses are accurate, up to date, and trustworthy, which is essential for research analysis and decision-making.
What’s an MCP?
Think of an MCP as a bridge between your LLM and the outside world - a plugin system for intelligent agents. Configure it once, and your agent can immediately reach external tools and data sources. No more custom integrations, no more messy infrastructure.
How does it work?
When a user asks a question in the Agentic platform, the LLM leverages the Remote MCP “Bigdata Search” to gather the necessary information. The model automatically issues queries to Bigdata Services until it has enough relevant data to respond.
For example, if the user asks:
“List the names and companies of the people who asked a question during the last earnings call of NVIDIA.”
The LLM would use the Remote MCP search to locate the transcript of NVIDIA’s most recent earnings call, extract the Q&A section, identify each participant, and return a structured list of names and their associated companies.
Meet our Remote MCPs

Why Remote MCPs over Local MCPs?
Our goal is simple: let you focus on building applications, not babysitting infrastructure. Remote MCPs connect directly to Bigdata.com with minimal setup. Local MCPs? You’d have to host and maintain the service yourself.
This launch is just the beginning of making Bigdata.com services seamlessly accessible to agentic platforms. By exposing search, and documentation as Remote MCPs, we’re removing barriers and giving developers a faster, smarter way to build data-driven, grounded applications.
