People open Microsoft Copilot to get work done, and starting today the official Bigdata.com connector is available there, so company, market and macro data comes straight into the conversation, with the source attached.

It is built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and works in two places: Copilot Chat and Copilot Cowork. Setup takes a few clicks, and it sits alongside the option you already had: building custom agents with Bigdata.com with Copilot Studio.

What we bring to Copilot users

Any assistant can talk about a business but whether it gets the figures right depends on where those figures come from. Without a dependable financial source, you could get last year's numbers mixed with whatever is on the open web.

On the other hand, when you connect Bigdata.com to Copilot, you work with the same data institutional teams use every day:

  • Over 1 billion financial documents: news, filings, earnings call transcripts and research

  • Real-time feeds that pick up market-moving events as they break

  • More than 20 years of history, so you can put today in context or backtest an idea

  • Structured company, market and macro data sitting right next to the text

  • A source on every answer, so you always know where a number came from

Option 1: Copilot Chat

If you want Bigdata.com inside the standard Copilot experience, this is the quickest route. Once connected, Copilot uses Bigdata.com whenever your question calls for financial data.

  1. Go to copilot.cloud.microsoft

  2. Open Settings and more, then go to Settings and Sources

  3. Search for Bigdata.com and click Connect

  4. Sign in to your Bigdata.com account to authorize access

Option 2: Copilot Cowork

Cowork gives you far more visibility into what happens behind an answer, including the breakdown of the tools used and the sources behind each figure, and it gets the best out of the Bigdata.com Skills on top of the data.

  1. Go to copilot.cloud.microsoft/cowork

  2. Open Customize and search for Bigdata

  3. Press Install

  4. Sign in to your Bigdata.com account to authorize access

Option 3: Custom agents in Copilot Studio

If you need a custom agent built around your own process, Bigdata.com is already supported in Copilot Studio. Nothing changes there, and you can now use it next to the two options above as well.

See it in action

Once the connector is on, ask the way you would ask a colleague:

Give me the latest news on NVIDIA, the current market sentiment, and bull, base, and bear price scenarios for the next 6 months

Experience in Microsoft 365 Copilot Cowork:

In both cases, Copilot passes the request to Bigdata.com, works out which company you mean and comes back with a profile built on current data, not on whatever made it into its training set.

If you are an analyst, a portfolio manager or on a data team, and Copilot is already open on your screen most of the day, this one is for you. You can stop switching tools every time you need to check a number. And when someone asks where a figure came from, you will have the source right there.
